The cats began to panic when the suitcases came out. Poor babies.
Tomorrow we head out for a long “vacation” (in quotations because a vacation generally indicates relaxation, of which I expect very little), and I hope to return not significantly more insane than when I went. I will have little to no access to the computer; indeed, I’m not even sure if my iPhone gets coverage where I’m going. I’m trying not to think too hard about that, because the very idea of being without any internet access gives me hives.
In my absence there will be a recipe-centric thought series scheduled. Never let it be said that I don’t look after you folks. I plan to return with good stories, decent pictures, and a minimum of angst. Assuming, of course, that we don’t break down in the middle of the farmlands and get eaten by buzzards.
(By the way, trying to eat up the last of the refrigerator perishables? Horrifying. Beyond even the reach of omelets. Dinner will be disgusting.)
